Ben Beltran
Ben is an educator who strives to help people cultivate the knowledge and skills necessary to have productive and meaningful interactions across difference. He has seven years of experience working at colleges and universities, with a particular emphasis on student education and engagement. He regularly teaches three-credit courses on multicultural leadership and dialogue at the University of Maryland, College Park. He also facilitates one-credit dialogue courses through the Words of Engagement Intergroup Dialogue Program, engaging students on topics related to identity, power, and privilege. In addition to his teaching and facilitation experiences, he manages a student-led dialogue program called Common Ground and trains undergraduate student dialogue facilitators. At the heart of all of his work is the belief that narrative sharing and dialogue are essential tools for reaching mutual understanding and strengthening relationships in diverse groups.
Ben holds a Master of Education in Student Affairs.
